About Me

Who I am: I am a results-driven Senior Instructional Designer with over 8 years of experience in all forms of education, creating learner-centered, interactive eLearning courses. My experience spans classroom teaching, hybrid instruction during the pandemic, and scalable eLearning solutions for a B2B SaaS organization. I leverage instructional design models, adult learning principles, and the latest tools to deliver engaging, meaningful learning experiences for all users within an organization.

I am passionate about creating sustainable models of learning data. I strive to continue honing my skills and eLearning development knowledge, and the most effective way to do so is by analyzing how learners perform when completing my content. These data models also enable the organization to measure the desired changes in behavior and their overall impact.

My process & approach to solving problems: My process originates from my Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction. In that graduate program, I began the practice of establishing the scope and sequence of entire learning programs and implementing the best methods for delivering each learning objective. Once objectives are established, I collaborate with the subject matter experts (the Product, Customer Success, and Support teams) within my organization to define the eLearning content. I believe that brief, recurring feedback cycles generate the greatest contribution from SMEs. These cycles allow for a much stronger partnership throughout the course creation process.

I always keep sight of the bigger picture of the learning program while designing and developing its content. To maintain materials and ideas, I create curriculum maps for each learning program and include its learning objectives, Tier 2 & 3 vocabulary, and any additional resources that relate to the topic at hand. These curriculum maps are crucial for tracking learning materials when planning for weekly SaaS releases and identifying what each course aims to measure.

How I work with people: Collaboration is crucial for delivering any successful eLearning course, and I place significant effort in establishing authentic relationships with subject matter experts. I echo this effort internally within the Learning & Development team. Our team’s content becomes more engaging and effective when each member lends their expertise during content creation and feedback. To reinforce this, I always emphasize a growth mindset and offer constructive suggestions.
